Charles Copney, 11, and Korey Grant, 15, are shot and killed.
April 20, 1991
The two boys are killed while sitting on stairs on Highland Avenue by a 15-year-old “wannabe” gang member. The murders prompt two local street gangs to announce a temporary “truce” in their hostilities a few days later, and six other gangs to agree to a 30-day truce on May 29, 1991.
